There were several of these, some were green and some where sunburnt-green like the one in this pic. They all had bright white eyes. The facets are just about visible in the full resolution image.

With psyllids, this is perhaps the most useless angle you can have for ID! 
It's Cacopsylla sp, and with these it often comes down to the genitalia, at least in combination with the wing venation and genal cones (pointy things under its face). Yours is a female, so a side view would probably be enough to separate the few hawthorn species, although C. peregrina is certainly the most common. This one with the brown veins isn't that, though - could be melanoneura, recently emerged. To be honest, from this angle I'm guessing...
Colouring in some of these things changes dramtically from green/yellow to brown/red over the summer, but it's also true that you could have at least two species there. |
