| | | A selection of Beetles Hi all,
A few beetles for ID/confirmation
1. Found today on hazel, Calvia quattuordecimguttata ?
2. Again, found today on hazel, a Cantharis sp. , possibly C. pellucida
3. Another nettle weevil, Phyllobius sp. but which?
4. Another soldier beetle, I saw several of these on larch trees.

| | | Re: A selection of Beetles Thanks both,
the red on the thorax of the C. pellucida was incredible in the sunlight, the pic doesn't do it justice.

| | | Re: A selection of Beetles Looking at this thread I'm sure someone on here will remind me what this is, I'm sure I used to know but it's lost somewhere in the grey matter that used to be my brain.
Hope you don't mind, Barbara |

| | | Re: A selection of Beetles Hi Barbara,
I'm fairly sure that's Rhagium bifasciatum, a longhorned beetle. They're a fairly common sight in these parts.

| | | Re: A selection of Beetles Thanks for the answer Gerel, I should have known it might be a kind of longhorned beetle.
