We had one in work last year, stayed overnight but went the next afternoon, I was lucky to be amongst those on the fire escape watching them when it left, noisy but a wonderful opportunity to see nature performing marvels. The original colony had split. I posted 2 of the pics on wab, honey bees without doubt....

Found some useful local numbers on Essex beekeepers website for beekeepers willing to collect honey bee swarms.Am carrying list with me from now on,in case I see any more...
