bug nymph - iD?
around 3mm on underside of tree leaf:



it was on this tree if that helps

The tree seems to be Black Birch, and I reckon the hopper is a Kybos sp. - there are several that like birches and are tricky to separate even as adults...

Think the tree is Grey Alder Alnus incana. You can just make out female fruit. Don't know if this affects conclusions.

Cheers for the correction, Posch - in that case it's probably Kybos smaragdula, which is the only one that prefers alders.
