Unusual Pupal Case....or not.

I was on a BC Higland Field Trip in Culbin Forest near Nairn on Saturday 16th May when I saw the object in the 1st photo, which is on Heather. Nobody on the field trip knew what it was.

The next day I was near Loch Morlich in the Cairngorms and found about 6 very similar things, one of which is in the 2nd and 3rd photos, the habitat was an open area in a pine forest. I've no idea what they are and can only think they may be some type of pupal case for some type of insect.

Each one was no more than 10mm in total length, I'd be grateful for any help with identification, thanks in advance.

I think this may be an egg sac of an Agroeca spider. Should be around at this time of year, even in Nairn ! They are described as upturned wine glasses.
