| | | Is this another Cuckoo Bee or something else? Not sure what this is. It's similar to a Nomada sp Cuckoo bee I saw over the weekend, but this is in another location (in our local church meadow)
It was flying at low level over the undergrowth, no chance of getting a head shot, but nice picture of it's behind!
Any ideas?

Looks like Nomada marshamellafemale. The broken second yellow band is the clue, although the yellow spots at the top of the wings can't be seen it does look correct.

Any idea what bee it parasitizes (is that a word?) ?? An Andrena sp.?

Jane | I had it last year, haven't seen it this year (yet). I put a note that it parasitises Andrena carantonica and A. nigroaenea of which I had both. |
