Beetles for ID

A couple of beetles for ID if possible.

The first is from last weekend and was seen on nettle at Kirkby Gravel Pits, Lincs:






The second is from late May last year and was seen in the Lincolnshire Limewoods:

I'll probably get shot down in flames but to me (from my trusty beetle book) the first perhaps may be a Pill Beetle-Byrrhidae sp. The second, once again a big perhaps Hylecoetus dermestoides. (now waiting for the big guns to arrive)
