Trying to make some sense of the wing veins. The outer cross veins do look very distinctive but I can't really come up with anything positive.
I can get it to key out as Heringia and with the pale hair, Heringia senilis almost fits.
Although, to some extent, those pale 'knees' could be Pipizella virens.
I think we all are probably on the right track here but it will prove impossible to seperate these closely related species. |
