2 Insect IDs Please

Hi

Can anyone identify either (or both) of these please?

I know this is a fly of some sort - quite small (approx half a centimetre - maybe slightly larger - in length), but it was the 'club'-like front legs that attracted my attention:



This strange one was even smaller (approximately 3mm in length) - no idea what it is:

The second one is a planthopper... can't be sure on the species from this angle, but it looks like Javesella pellucida, which is everywhere in long grass at the moment. What you really want for these is a face view and a top view. Shouldn't pose any problems.
