| | | Looks like Nomada but can't positively ID In my S. Devon garden today.
Thought this was just another Nomada but, if so, I can't find a positive ID. Head is narrow, thorax is all black without any colour spots (possibly black spots visible), first yellow strip is darkish and they appear to be straight bands without any lateral black division.
Unfortunately the wing veins are not clearly visible. It kept flying around and only settling for a few seconds.
I have checked the Bewars site but still can't find a suitable species name.
Any suggestions welcomed.

| | | Re: Looks like Nomada but can't positively ID I found the thread, N. signata by was a suggestion by Tristan too but nothing was finally decided! Nomada leucophthalma or flava male? |

| | | Re: Looks like Nomada but can't positively ID Virtually impossible to be 100% certain with males of the signata/flava group.
However, I am confident that this is NOT signata (having caught a couple last week I am dialled in for them!). It is either N. flava or N. panzeri, and males of these 2 are almost inseparable. |

| | | Re: Looks like Nomada but can't positively ID Yes, Janet, your photos do look exactly the same. I also did a Google and ended up back at that post!
So thanks, everyone. At least I was still correct with Nomada.
Looks like a label of N. flava/panzeri. |
