I trapped one on 26/08/2006 and placed it into a jar so that it would settle down. When I opened the jar, and dropped him onto the graph paper, he landed upside down for a while, giving me the opportunity of this shot. I put my finger to him and he clambered onto it which gave me another shot, which I have put in the Gallery.

Until I started trapping moths I was possibly of a similar mind but certainly the "wow" factor has hit me on countless occasions. If the majority of Jo public were to see what I, and others, have seen they would be amazed at the beauty of some of these insects (and I am only a novice - just think of some of the moths the experts have seen that I haven't).
