Look closely to find the second for ID. The first is pretty obvious, the second is a bit blurred though.

The damsel is a Large Red Damselfly.

No idea on the other tiny thing.

Not enough detail in the other insect

Thank you. I didn't download the photo's as quick as normal otherwise I would have gone back to the garden and snapped a clearer image of the tiny one.

Thanks, this is the first red I have seen in our pond environment, we usually get plenty of blues.
