Question Bee Identification please
Hi.

Would someone be able to identify this bee please?

Is it a red tiped bumblebee? It seems a little thin though. Tried looking on Natural History Museum but none the wiser!

Certainly looks like a rather bedraggled specimen. Abdomen looks too long for B. ruderarius and it is a bit early for the cuckoo bee B. rupestris so, yes, I agree with B. lapidarius.

Lots around in my S. Devon garden at the moment. Looks like being a good year for them.
