this little critter, with a rather short rostrum, found on low vegetation in ancient woodland on the Magnesian Limestone in SE Yorkshire:
I know there are a lot of weevils on the GB list  , but any suggestions would be very welcome

| | | Re: mystery weevil I think this might be a fairly old individual as it looks like all the hairs have been rubbed of its body. This makes it look different. I took a pic of one this afternoon and it was completely covered in short "rug-like" hairs.
