I was following a 3mm white aphid through my viewfinder (waiting for it to stop moving) when this little fellow came into view. I decided this was the more interesting subject......so I took a couple of pics:
I guess it's expecting a lot but......help with identification appreciated.

| | | Re: Cute little red-eyed bug Does indeed look like hopper, and I'd go so far as to say probably Macropsis sp - there are very few with spines on their back. I've never seen this early an instar, though! |

I forgot to mention that this tiny nymph was found in my garden living on the same geraniums as the 2mm long (spiny) nymphs in this earlier posting of mine: Unusual hemipteran nymphs
