| | | Some garden bees (and a sleepy wasp) I thought I would get out into the garden this afternoon and try to photograph some of the bees here so I have a record of what is about. That was easier said that done with the wind blowing a gale! It was a challenge but I got a few of them.
Male hairy footed flower bee I think.
This is one of the mining bees that wants to make the garden hose reel home.
There are plenty of these chaps around, usually between three and six in one small area at a time with others elsewhere. I don't know what it is and don't suppose an id is possible from the blurry pic. They were very active.
I think this is a queen which had just woken from hibernation. She was in the ivy and seemed very sleepy for a while but eventually flew off and then was seen around the garden fit and well.
Hopefully I will get some others soon.

| | | Re: Some garden bees (and a sleepy wasp) Yes #5 was the one I wasn't sure about, I made the mistake of believing someone else's photos!
I have one myself from a few days ago which I can't decide on. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
