| | | Red eyed bugs mating
Northants garden this afternoon - on geraniums.
There are hundreds of these in the garden just now (I've photographed quite a few males and females) however this is the first mating pair I've come across. I felt quite guilty spoiling things for them but reassured myself that this was science (well almost science  ).
Help with identification appreciated as always.

Your Geraniums seem to have a good insect fauna! Certainly is D. stachydis - check this link too, an excellent new Danish Miridae website http://www.miridae.dk/dicyphus_stachydis.htm

Hmmmmm.......interesting thought Jim. Come to think of it I'm pretty sure there were a couple of green-eyed ones on a neighbouring leaf  .
