| | | [ID] Orange Chalcid Wasp Hi all
A tiny 2-3mm orange chalcid wasp for ID please!! Both me and Dogghound have tied this one down as a Chalcid wasp, but I haven't been able to get it any further. I originally posted this up as a Plant Bug thinking it was, but Dogghound re-identified it again as a Chalcid - thanks and appreciated Dan!
Anyway, with a new thread and a more appropriate title I'm hoping to get it further this time around. New photo, too. 27/2/09 On the underside of a Bramble leaf. ...that's how tiny he is! Habitat: On the underside of a Bramble leaf suffering from Violet Bramble-rust in garden. Size: c2-3mm
Any help greatly appreciated!
Take care,
Jason

| | | Re: [ID] Orange Chalcid Wasp Coccidae = Scale insects
Coccinellidae = Ladybirds . So its not ladybirds the parasitise but scale insects. |
