Stockgrove Country Park, Beds on fence separating pine wood and meadows. Taken today (17th Jan). Size ~5.5mm.
Help with identification appreciated.

definitely a tephritid, might be possible to get a bit narrower with further investigation |

Is this a common wing position for them, Oxy? Those I've usually seen have them held in Delta position as opposed to over-lapping - or is the fly maybe just temporarily out of hibernation and so a bit groggy?? |
