| | | Re: Help! - Beetles in the bedroom! This beetle is one of the Anobiidae Anobium punctatum by the looks of it, as I said earlier. This is not a carpet beetle.
This is a varied carpet beetle Anthrenus verbasci though.
Neither are black carpet beetles Attagenus unicolor |

| | | Re: Help! - Beetles in the bedroom! Sorry Jemma, it's not.
Really though, if you can't find holes or damage, I wonder if they're only newly colonising - in which case probably the best thing you can do is despatch with the adults as-and-when you find them... that'll dent their attempt. I hope.
Good luck

| | | Re: Help! - Beetles in the bedroom! There seems to be some confusion between the two, the most simple way is the antenna, carpet beetles has short antenna, the woodworm has antenna about 3 times the length of the carpet beetles this can be seen in the photos. |

| | | Re: Help! - Beetles in the bedroom! Good news - I finally found the source of the beetles. I found all the larvae inside a shoe box at the bottom of my wardrobe where there was a set of dried flowers/herbs in a packet!
Would still be interested to know what they were but at least they are gone now!
Thanks for everyone's assistance |
