a handy site that lists quite a few societies and groups is http://internt.nhm.ac.uk/jdsml/resea...ieties-online/
also there is the National biodiversity network http://www.searchnbn.net/ type in the species and up it will come. not completely up to date but still gives an idea of distribution. but personally i would google for the recording scheme also.

| | | Re: invertebrate status Thanks both, some really useful links, still not quite what I'm after, I have lots of books that give you an idea as to status and distribution, really I'm after official status (if any) for example Nationally scarce Na / Nb Local etc...... |
