| | | Winged insect, bright green with red triangle I'm sure I saw a reference to this one not too long ago. It's what I think of as grasshopper green, with a brilliant red diamond outline on the wings, the lines continuing to outline an orangy 'tail'. I did try to take a picture but the first one was blurred, and then the little beauty flew away. |

You description appears to suggest a shieldbug. Have a look through the Insect Gallery as I'm sure some of these have been posted recently

I presume it was a flying beetle, though 'grasshopper' came into my head when I first saw it. I'll see if I can do anything with the blurred picture I took. |

I should have made clear that when I said 'orangey tail' I was referring to the markings on the wings. The wedge-shape was broader at the head than the tail. |
