help with beetle id?
hi there,
we found this lad today - and wondered what he was - we've seen a lot of them about and can't work out what they are.

it looks like a type of leaf beetle, but not sure:







colour wise in good light he's much more green - a dark metallic green with an oily shine to it, and red/brown underside.

Hi Zoundz,

Coleoptera > Chrysomelidae > Chrysolina banksii (C. banksii) - No Common Name [A seed, leaf or flea beetle]

Here's Why:
  • Rounded
  • 'Dimpled' bodyshell
  • Red legs
  • General 'jist'
