| | | Re: Small Flies in my House I have an infestation of tiny house flies in my kitchen only (so far!) they fly languidly around the centre of the room principally, but are also around generally and at the windows. I have no house plants in the kitchen apart from a basil plant. I have tried to get rid of them with spray but they are incredibly resistant. We do get a lot of midges in the kitchen in the evening if the door is open on a summer evening. Could there be a connection? We have never had this problem before. Normal flies yes and easily got rid of, but these devils won't get the message to quit! Help, please? |

| | | Re: Small Flies in my House I really sympathise! We had this problem in our kitchen a couple of years ago. It was driving us crazy trying to figure out where they were coming from! We searched everywhere for sign of entry until, by a long series of elimination, I noticed that there a couple of places with loose skirting board. Rather than rip out the skirting I tried a more simple option, I used a whole can of fly-spray and sprayed into every skirting board crack I could find. Within 24 hours the infestation was down by 80% and a couple of days later, we never saw a single fly, and none since. Worth a try and hope it helps! |

| | | Re: Small Flies in my House I know I've asked before/above if they could be Fruit Flies?
If there is fruit ( especially Plums, Damsons, Greengages, etc etc ) out on 'display' or handy-to-use ---- they soon seem to smell it out at my place.
Perhaps someone else who has the right camera lens could snap an example & post it up ? | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
