Can any one confirm that this is what i think it is? Due to its size i thought it was either the Great green bush cricket or a wartbiter?

I would say great green - I'veput a pic of ne of these in the Gallery and it looks a lot like what I found - your pictures much better though - looks like she's ovipositing!! Great shot!! |

Thanks guys, i had posted a repply saying thanks but it disapeared.
It took me by surprise when i saw it as i've never seen a cricket that big! It was ovipositing when i saw it, good to see that as the ground was like concrete!

Go to the NBN Gateway ( www.searchnbn.net) and type tettigonia in the search box for a distribution map. A southern species, can be locally common, especially in coastal areas.
