| | | Re: Unknown planthopper I am a school teacher by profession and for the last six weeks or so have been doing all the identifications during 'free time' since the year 11 students left. Come next week I will be spending all my summer break with fieldwork and identifying insects. I will not be participating in this site for a while as I do not have internet access at home. There is no single book enabling the identification of all British Hemiptera. For Heteroptera you could try the CD-ROM version of Southwood and Leston's Wayside and Woodland book Land and Water Bugs of the British Isles. For Homoptera there is a four-volume series written by Walter LeQuesne and published by the Royal Entomological Society. See www.nhbs.com/browse.php?cat=1-478-39-42-275- or www.pembooks.demon.co.uk/ for other titles. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
