Tanks should be checked daily for eggs when the snails are of mating age, check from the underneith of the tank and then with a pen or spoon run it through the peat, bark chip to see if there are any eggs, I feel I need to say that folk are very quick in suggesting that adults should be separated into tanks on their own....but like any animal they should have time or attention given to them daily and checking for eggs takes about 10 seconds, and more importantly snails are very social creatures!!! They often rest together, eat together, bury themselves together even hitch a ride on another......and lol they can store sperm inside themselves for up to a year so they can keep on reproducing even living on their own! Place the eggs in a bag and place them in the freezer other wise your end up with a zoo thats what I do otherwise id have thousands...... mbbc_coleman77@hotmail.com |
