Now, another question: I'm sure I remember reading about various types of females associated with the Blue-Tailed ( I.elegans), does this happen with the Common Blue as well? |

| | | Re: Common Blues? As Matt said, there are two forms of female Common Blue. You also get the immature stages which can lead to confusion, with pale straw-coloured areas. The green females eventually turn browner with age. Also the adult male blue colour will fade to grey in cold weather. Difficult little creatures these damselflies! |
