| | | Re: Identification Help Needed Please That's an interesting one - as Dogghound says it is Roesel's Bush-cricket, a male, but it is the macropterous (long-winged) form, called form diluta, which is quite unusual. The book says "sometimes occurs in high numbers in the population in very hot summers" - can't say I noticed a very hot summer this year, but the autumn's been pretty good!

Martin Harvey | I've encountered quite a few diluta Roesel's this year despite the generally awful weather. |
