| | | Dragonflies for ID The blue dragonfly visited our field on 22nd September 2008. These photos show it resting on a bramble, so I would estimate the body length at about 50mm.
The nearest stream is about 400mm away. 
This dragonfly was flying around at the same time, although this photo was taken a few days later. 
I think that it's a common darter, am I correct? |

| | | Re: Dragonflies for ID Steve, to ID the Migrant Hawker, look for the pale golf tee shape (on segment 2 and 3). It's clearly visible on your first photo, just behind the wings.
