Hi chaps, I'm brand new here and I already have a question!
I went to take some rubbish out to my black bin today and noticed something I've never seen before. There are a good number of flies stuck to the bin, dead. There is bacterial growth on most of them and what looks like a crystalline substance on them. I've included a couple of pictures, but the quality isn't great as they were taken on my mobile phone.
Below shows one that has bacteria growth in stripes across it's body.
Below gives you an idea of how many there are.
We have a black bin (general waste) collection every two weeks, and it's nearly the end of week two. That and the fact that the lid was slightly oped, I think its is possible the flies started in the bin, but what killed them and why are they 'stuck' to the outside?
Does anyone have any ideas?
