| | | Re: Wasp (???) Can someone please help me id this? It's a species of Hoverfly. Completely harmless with no sting.

| | | Re: Wasp (???) Can someone please help me id this? Just a little tip: Generally, hoverflies have 'flat' bodies and no stinger, whereas wasp etc. bodies are more rounded and have a stinger which may be partially seen (and certainly felt!!). They also have a little black 'V' between each stripe.
Hope this helps.

| | | Re: Wasp (???) Can someone please help me id this? I can't instantly ID it, it must be one I'm less familiar with. It's female, note the gap between the eyes.
I'll try soon... |

| | | Re: Wasp (???) Can someone please help me id this? Actually, it's the underside that I thought was the upper.
It could be the common Eupeodes luniger. Both appear to be the same individual, whereas last night I thought they were two.
