Question [ID] Flies
Hi,

Two for ID please...


1. Hoverfly
I thought this was an ichneumon wasp from the extended shape and restless flight pattern, but when I looked at the photos I saw it was a female hoverfly. Which one please? The first one shows him on Herb Robert leaves, then Petty Spurge. Is it Baccha elongata?


2. Fly
Which one is this? It seemed reluctant to fly...

1. Is Baccha elongata I presume they are the same individual? the left photo is quite blurry.

Yes, the same ind. It was practically at ground level, 7pm-ish so not that much light and it barely stopped for a sec. I got about 1/30th of a sec at ISO400.
