Unknown bugs in garage

Hello all,

I have these unknown bugs that have appeared in my garage and they seem to be all over the place.

The garage isn't overrun with them numbers-wise but they are all over the garage (on the side of boxes/at the bottom of boxes/inside storage drawers etc)

They are about 1.5mm in size (body length excluding the tentacle things). The have no wings, just walk around on stuff and one has never bitten me and I've never seen one jump.

Any ideas what they are or how to eradicate them (am I allowed to ask about killing bugs here - apologies if I offend)

Just finding it a pain as I don't really mind them being there but I don't want to bring anything from the garage into the house in case they invade the house as well.

Sounds and looks like a Psocid, a booklice.
These guys like humid conditions, so I suggest you dry out your garage.

Excellent - thanks for the speedy reply and suggestion.

I think you may be right there - I looked them up on other sites and it looks like they may be what I have.

The garage itself is quite dry though which is a bit odd. I'll try some heaters in there for a bit and see what happens but if not I may get the council to come and have a look as after reading about them I don't want to start bringing them into the house!!
