| | | Dragonfly in the garden Spotted this female common Darter a few weeks back
The first one i had seen apart fron a female Broad-bodied chaser that had been a regular in May and June
I was over the moon!!
I'm going to my local nature spot the PENKRIDGE CENTRE in Breauton Park in Solihull tomorrow where i hope to see many more |

| | | Re: Dragonfly in the garden Dragonflies and Damselflies are really addictive, I know several spots in my area where I can photograph them, though there are only a few species but I hope to spot some more. 
I watched one today flying in a forest glade catching small flies and eating them on the wing and was dropping tiny white things every so often and I realised that it must have been depositing the uneaten wings of it's prey.

| | | Re: Dragonfly in the garden well done!! I've had southern hawkers, broad-bodied chasers and emperors inmy garden this year!! Unfortunately they mistake the trampoline for the pond so try laying their eggs on that! DOH! "Please miss, the pond's that way"

Nice and sunny this morning and could do with taking my camera this morning but I'm visiting my mother in hospital this afternoon so its not practical to take the SLR with all the lenses as I'm on foot

Its the PARKRIDGE CENTRE not the PENKRIDGE centre    lol
