5. Correct although to be safe i would label them syrphus spp S.ribesi and S.vitripennis can be quite variable and look similar, although to me these look like S.ribesi but best to be safe.

They all appear to have yellow thighs, so would this point to S. ribesii ??

Yes the femora are usually black in S.vitripennis which does suggest S.ribesi. I was perhaps being a little over cautious.
