Fly for ID

From my garden - some sort of flesh fly ?
I would like to try & ID more flies myself & wondered how useful the AES Dipterist's Handbook would be ?

Try Graphomyia maculata.

I had been trying to ID this fly for ages until somebody asked this same question recently and the mystery was solved.

The male abdomen tends to be more orange than the female.

That's where it is in my book. Number 2 in the Muscidae section; next to the House Fly. For some reason they don't use alphabetical listing.
