Red bug for ID & question about Weevil

Well, I'm not actually sure if it's a bug:

About 4mm big, on some grass.

Also, I recently had this pic ID'd for me as a Sitona sp. Weevil:

Today I took some pics of another Weevil, it looked virtually identical except on the above pic there is a small gap between the main section of the body and the start of the wing casings (sorry, I don't know the technical terms). But on the one I found today, there was no gap there. Is this something that just varies between indivduals, or does it vary due to age, sex or something else?

I would have thought that the gap you are seeing is caused by the position the weevil's body is in.

i think the bug maybe an Anthocoris nymph, no idea of the species.

Thanks both of you for the info on the Weevil and the bug ID, after looking at other pictures of Anthocoris species and nymphs I would agree with you on the ID.
