I wish dragonflies would pose for me like that! I have tried photographing an emperor dragonfly at a local patch, but it never lands! |

The other species that I have seen there are Beautiful Demoiselle, Southern & Migrant Hawkers, Broad-bodied Chasers, Large Red & Azure Damselflies.
There is also some Hampshire Purslane south of the road which is pretty much confined to the New Forest. |

Found Hampshire purslane and also saw beautidul demoiselles, southern hawker (f) and have seen broad-bodied chasers and azure damselflies there before. Apparently black darters can be found there but we didnt see any today....anyway im very happy with my pics!!!

A couple I forgot about are Common & Ruddy Darters & Emperor Dragonfly. |
