| | | Is this a wasp? Hi everyone, just going through our photos we took at the Wyre forest last weekend. We do not know what this is! At first I thought it was a field digger wasp, hubby thinks it may be a spider hunting wasp. Maybe it`s not a wasp at all!!!

| | | re: Is this a wasp? It's an ichneumon wasp. Could belong to the genus Amblyteles, but these insects are so confusing that anything's possible! Some ichneumons do resemble Spider-hunting wasps, but not this one particularly. |

| | | re: Is this a wasp? It is indeed Amblyteles sp, very similar to Amblyteles armatorius but not quite the same species.
