It's the Forest shieldbug, Pentatoma rufipes. I think the yellow dot and dark colouring give it away.

The shoulders give away the ID, there's no other Shieldbug that has anything similarly shaped.
Probably the commonest of all the Shieldbugs.

I suppose it depends in how you look at it. Yes, the Green Shieldbug is often very common within it's range, but that only extends up into Yorkshire, whereas the Forest Bug is to be found all over the British mainland.
