| | | Re: emperor/hairstreak I think there's a thread about the purple emperor somewhere
Here we are - they were in Northamptonshire. http://www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk/fo...myn-woods.html
They sound like they had a great time and came back with some cracking shots.

| | | Re: emperor/hairstreak Sorry I meant whereabouts are you going to look for them? PE's are currently being seen fairly regularly at Broxbourne Woods and Wormley Wood, Herts. |

| | | Re: emperor/hairstreak White-letter Hairstreaks will soon be over; I've seen a maximum of 5 near where I live up on Horsenden Hill, still had 2 last Sunday.
Saw Purple Emperor at Bookham Common last Saturday; often see c4 at this master site, but only the 1 last weekend. |

| | | Re: emperor/hairstreak I saw roughly half a dozen Purple Emperors last Monday but I think they are just about done for down here this year. |

| | | Re: emperor/hairstreak The old man stumbled across a white letter hairstreak on Arnside Knott on Sunday, whilst on a quest for dark green and and high brown frits.
