Smile Insect high rise hotel
Hi, have just joined this website - has anyone been to Hampton Court Flower Show this year - on the RSPB stand there was an amazing insect palace constructed out of bricks, rooftiles, tubes, wood etc. apparently by the tv gardener Chris Beardshaw - I can't find anything on the web about it and I really want to copy it myself. It stood about 4 ft high and had nooks and crannies and drinking straws and stuff inserted for insects and it looked beautiful - was topped with lovely old rooftiles with lichen on them and looked v. lovely. It was the best thing I saw all day...

There are several plans of these on the internet, mostly in Dutch and German sites. They go under the Dutch translation of 'creature towers' which I can't remember at the moment
