| | | Hoverfly luck Yeyyyyy!!!!
I have finally seen one of these!!
IN an industrial estate in Slough of all places, I first saw it and thought cool a hornet I'll go get a closer look, then when I realised what it was I legged it back to the car to get me macro snap on and when I came back I coould see it was still there but got accosted by a lady who was (rightly enough) wondering why I was wandering around her office block with a clipboard and camera, I couldn't finish the conversation with her quick enough!! Thankfully the fly stayed put the whole time!!

I really like the large Hoverflies | Yes I remember it! And there has beena trickle of other pictures since then and I turned a little further green with every one, but I knew as you say I just had to wait!!
Taught me a lesson too because I hadn't excatly been looking forward to spending the day on an industrial estate in Slough - but just goes to show you really never can tell!! |
