| | | Some beetles for ID please... Hi,
I'm slowly working my way through the backlog of photos I took during National Insect Week but, as always, there are quite a few I can't ID, including these beetles...
1. All black and about 10mm long...
2. A soldier beetle of sorts is my guess and possibly Cantharis livida due to the absence of black tips on the elytra. This one was slightly longer, maybe 12mm...
3. And finally, the only thing I can find with anything like this colouration is Omaloplia ruricola but I'm probably way off with that. Unfortunately this was the only shot I managed before it flew...
Any suggestions gratefully received!
Dave P.

Any suggestions for the other two?

| | | Re: Some beetles for ID please... The second, I think, is Cantharis livida. Other than that it's a chafer of some sort, I wouldn't want to comment on the third. |

| | | Re: Some beetles for ID please... Woops! Missed one! I thought I'd found an ID for this but if so I've lost it again. It was around 10mm in length...
