Large Fly ID needed please.
I took this photo the other day and since then I have searched high and low for an ID but to no avail. About 17mm long.

Any suggestions appricated.

I found it in this forum. Don't know kow i missed it before. Seems its a Hoverfly - Volucella pellucens.
