| | | Some more flies from Northern Ireland Can anyone help with the identification of these flies. All of the photos were taken in Northern Ireland. I suspect that image 2 and 4 may be of the same species but seeing as I know very little about flies I could be wrong. |

1. Phaonia pallida (male).
2 and 4. Helina sp.
5. One of the orange-abdomened Phaonia e.g. rufiventris or subventa.
6. Possibly a Hydrotaea.
I will compare the images with specimens in my reference collection. |
