Is this the Adonis Blue
Photographed today at Southmoor, Havant. Several were flying about on Langstone harbour shoreline.

No , I think this is Common Blue Butterfly. The Adonis Blue is a brighter, electric blue colour, and has black lines cutting through the white fringes or 'cilia' (the band of white scales around the edges of the wings). Also, the Adonis Blue is strictly confined to chalk grassland (where its foodplant horseshoe vetch occurs) so not sure whether they'd occur around Langstone Harbour.
