Smile New Species On My Latest Trip!
Hi WABers,

Photos from my latest trip - of the six shown, four were new ones for me.


An Anthomyia sp., perhaps A. pluvialis?


A sawfly?


A wasp-like hoverfly, of genus Chrysotoxum or Xanthogramma perhaps?


This is Volucella bombylans sp., which is an aesthetically variable species, often copying Bombus sp. bees. This variant is similar to B. Terrestris and so is called Volucella bombylans plumata.


Both Kentish snails? I think the first is, but is the other?


A moth, probably Nemophora degeerella

That second one looks like Oedemera nobilis to me!
