| | | Glow-worm Thought you might like a look at this little dazzler. She crossed my path on an area of chalk downland today.
I know very little about these great beetles so any info would be gratefully received.

Great photo, the glowing season will start any time now.Kent wildlife tust will probably organise Glow worm walks.The attached photo is of an Essex Glow worm. |

the second link is the online version of John Tylers book which as far as i could find is the ONLY book on gloworms!

It's fairly widespread but another article I've dipped into said, widespread but local. I think the habitat is important. Chalk area,with a supply of snails, and grass all feature.
I'm going to see if there's a night-walk that we can do to see them glow!
